‘Golf is a science, the study of a lifetime, in which you can exhaust yourself but never your subject’ says Major General Tajuddin Moulali Mhaisale, a Vishisht Seva Medalist, a keen golfer, and a passionate reader and writer.
Major General Mahisale did his Master of Technology in Computer Technology from IIT Delhi, has done his Masters in Management Studies and Business Administration, Master of Business Administration from IGNOU, and Osmanabad University. He is also a Fellow of All India Management Association, Fellow of Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, Fellow of Institute of Engineers, and a Fellow of Computer Society of India, besides being a Member of Institute of Directors.
During his service career, he held prestigious appointments such as Chief Technology Officer, Chief Innovation Officer, and Senior Systems Administrator. He was instrumental in establishing an ecosystem for innovation in the Indian Army and mentoring an Incubation Centre at Delhi. He also handled the complete IT operations of the Indian Army for about three years, which included “Operational Info Systems”, “Operational Logistics Systems” and “HR Systems”. He has vast experience in design, development, testing, and rolling-out of a large number of enterprise-wide IT infrastructure and software systems. He has considerable experience in strategizing and planning of MRO and Acquisition of Defence Equipment and Combat Systems in the Indian Army; and also Facilities and Infrastructure. He also had instructor tenures at prestigious Defence Institutes.
‘I was an Independent Director on the Board of Directors of National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC India) from Jun 2016 till September 2019 and also a Senior Advisor with an MNC firm till 2019. Now a visiting faculty to the prestigious Institute of Directors (IoD), for “Leading Change, Creativity, and Innovation”. Currently & involved in compiling Business Sustainability guidelines for the Corporate Sector at IoD’ says the ever dynamic Major General Tajuddin.
