The IS360 Startup Expo 2020, the first-ever Virtual Startup Event was held from 18th to 24th December 2020. The Expo aimed at providing entrepreneurs with a high visibility transformative platform to showcase their ventures, meet investors, engage with veterans from various organizations, attended Boot Camp sessions to receive one-on-one mentoring, network with experts from diversified fields and explored partnership opportunities, discussed with potential customers and interact with students and stakeholders from various regions that helped them scale new heights. It served as a great medium of interaction between the founders and students, thus promoting a thriving entrepreneurial culture.

The main focus was on Startups, Student Entrepreneurs, Researchers, NGOs, and Growth Startups & Sponsor Startups. About 40 Startups of different categories participated in this International Event and took full advantage of the platform. The General Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) chose this platform to organize their International Summit Virtually and Co-sponsored the Inaugural day. Eminent speakers from various parts of the Globe participated and enlightened the audience with their Presentation on topics like Logistics & Supply Chain, Medical Tourism, FinTech, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity & E-commerce.Â
The Participants took full advantage of the Boot Camp conducted from 19th December to 22nd.Â
The Boot Camp was based on the following important topics:-
1) Developing customer value proposition for a venture – Precepts of Design Thinking:
(a) Identify target customers and their unmet needs
(b) How to specify a product that meets those needsÂ
2) How to build customer research skills:
(a) Avoiding bias when selecting research subjects and posing questions
(b)Â Develop personas and use them to focus on the design process.

3) Building insights about unmet customer needs to be gleaned through customer discovery work:Â
(a) Ideation methods to rapidly generate multiple solutions
(b) Development of prototypesÂ
4) Feedback on prototypes through user testing; and, follow UX design principles to refine solutions.
5) Review principles of business model design:
a) Generate hypotheses about business models
b) Specify Minimum Viable Product (MVP) tests of hypotheses
6) Experimenting with sales and marketing channels:Â
Conditions favouring the use of different sales and marketing methods
7) How to design marketing experiments:
(a) Seed-stage firmsÂ
(b) Personal selling tips.
The highlight of the Expo was the Pitch day Presentation by the Startups which was attended by VCs from India & Abroad.
eCargoLog, PCombinator, GOPIO, MusicTube, Concepts Lab & Stylework were the key promoters of the Digital Event, first of its Kind organized by India Startup360, Pune.
As per the Google Analytics, the event had a view of 9731 visitors. The Boot camp session had 5500 views.
